Dear MPFC Families,
It is so good that there is cautious movement back to school and sport! As a leader in a local school the planning which underlies maintaining the safety of students and staff is massive – it will be the same with the return of community Footy.
The Executive Committee met tonight to discuss the recent communication (16/5) from AFL Victoria regarding a return to training and the subsequent advice from the CEO of the NFNL, Peter McDougall, sent out today.
At the moment NFNL club training continues to be banned until appropriate COVID-19 protocols are released to clubs with time to implement. In the Shire of Whittlesea facilities are still ‘closed’ until 31/5 at the earliest unless we are advised of a change.
We are drafting a training schedule in line with the protocols mentioned in the memo from AFL VIC and once we have further advice on the protocols from the NFNL and information around how a season will begin, we will communicate this to our families.
Not all players who trained in the pre-season are registered, so could Team Managers and Coaches, please forward this email to those concerned.
The Executive Committee is meeting again next Monday, and we plan to meet as a full committee on Monday 1/6 (all via Zoom!).
If you have any particular questions for us to address, please email them to email@example.com
We are looking forward to the return to footy, it will be different, and we are grateful for your patience and understanding in working out how the season unfolds.
Please follow MPFC and the NFNL on Facebook and/or TeamApp for regular updates.
