As we head into round eight we have another bumper day of footy coming up. All our 9’s and 10’s are travelling with fresh dewy starts, whilst the rest of the club are home at Redleap with some great match ups.
Our well travelled girls are FINALLY back home after having only the one home game so far, their game is sure to be a cracker with a battle of 3rd v 4th taking place. Keep an eye on our #6 Katelyn Busuttil as she is putting together another phenomenal season and fast approaching a sensational milestone!
We encourage you all to stay around the club before or after your match to show support to the wider club and build on the great atmosphere we have at Redleap.
Following the footy we will again have another club social BBQ, more details to follow.
Kids… remember to play hard, play fair and play respectful.
With round 7 coming and going we’re now coming into the 2nd half of the season 😳 feels like only last week that it was pre-season.
Round 7 wasn’t very kind to Mill Park with most results not going our way this week, but the efforts from all, to the final siren show our true colours. The development and improvements from all players this season to date show we’re on the right track to greatness.
We did get to witness a nail biting draw in the U14 Blues match against Yarrambat, these boys are improving week on week inching closer to toppling the strongholds in the top tier.
This week at training we will brush ourselves off, keep our heads up and look ahead to the next opponent.
“Sometimes, things may not go your way, but the effort should be there every single game.” - M.J
A massive congratulations to one of our newest Under 14’s superstars Torry Colson for reaching 50 career games in the NFNL this weekend.
Torry is one of the fresh new faces joining our U14 squad this season having transferred over from cross town rivals Epping. Beginning with the U9’s in 2017, Torry played 44 games for the Blues before becoming a Stallion throughout this pre-season bringing a hard attacking brand of footy.
Coming into a new team and club can be a daunting experience but he has been welcomed with open arms into this squad and settled in right at home, his Coach Raz shared the following words: “Torry’s enthusiasm for the game is a delight to see and he plays every game as is it is his last. His team mates love him and he is an absolute delight to coach. Congratulations on your 50th game buddy”
This week is National Volunteers Week and we are celebrating the significant contribution volunteers make to our game.
Our volunteers are the life blood of our footy club. Week in week out, whether the job is big or small, everywhere you look will be someone volunteering their time just to make sure our kids get to play the sport they love.
Volunteers do it for the love of the game. For the love of their local football club and for the kids that play. It’s these people who contribute to club and often with their enormous contributions going unnoticed.
Here are just a few of our many volunteers. To these and the many more at our club, we thank you immensely for the time you give for our kids! ... See MoreSee Less
